Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find the role of Front Desk Agent to Increasing Occupancy at Grand
Kanaya Hotel Medan. This study aims to analyze impact the role of the Front Desk Agent in increasing
room occupancy at the Grand Kanaya Hotel Medan. The research method used is descriptive
qualitative using SWOT analysis qualitative and quantitative. The variables in this study consisted of
the role of the Front Desk Agent as variable X (Independent), Room Occupancy level as variable Y
(Dependent). Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Based
on the results of research on the Analysis of the Role of Front Desk Agents in Improving Room
Occupancy at the Front Office Department, it can be concluded that it produces quadrant I (positive,
positive) it has opportunities and strengths so that it can take advantage of existing opportunities.
Based on the results, management have to check all departments to know how far impact of each
department.
