Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of travel agent reservation by online and offline to room occupancy rate. This research was conducted at The Reiz Suites Artotel Curated Medan. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach by using a secondary data source to find out the number of travel agent reservation by online and offline and room occupancy rate. Data collection techniques are conducted in the form of documentation studies using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques through multiple linier regression method, t test, f test and coefficient of determination. Based on the analysis result, it was found that online travel agent reservation had not partial effect on room occupancy rate. Then offline travel agent reservation had simultaneous effect on room accupancy rate. However online travel agent and offline travel agent reservation had partial and simultaneous effect on room occupancy rate with R square is 55,2%. It is recommended that hotel management increase sales through online travel agent distribution channels in order to have a positive effect on room occupancy rate.
